International Competition – What is Sustainable Architecture?
There are many ways of designing environmentally-responsible and resource-efficient structures and cities, with amazing innovations and advances introduced every day. These include everything from smart homes and photovoltaic glass to centrally organized power networks, modular building, and even self-healing bio-concrete.
Architects, startups, investors, entrepreneurs, tech companies, and designers are all pioneering holistic new approaches to sustainable architecture, in which new buildings are constructed and maintained throughout their life cycles with as little negative impact on the environment as possible.
Do you have something to say about sustainable architecture?
Bee Breeders, in partnership with ARCHHIVE BOOKS, is calling for essay submissions for their next print publication “What is Sustainable Architecture?”, which is planned for release in spring 2021. Submissions from participants related to any field or discipline are welcome.
Selected winners will receive monetary awards and will be included in the ARCHHIVE BOOKS “What is Sustainable Architecture?” print publication.
Submission deliverables
Bee Breeders will accept submissions of all kinds, written or illustrative, that can fit on a single page or a two-page spread, to be included in its print publication.
Submissions can be historical, present, or prospective. They can be data-centric, analytical, fictional, critical, or conceptual. We are interested in reviewing submissions from participants related to any field or discipline.
What can be submitted
– Text (400 words or less)

– Illustrations
– Photos
– Graphics
Prizes Monetary award
3 winning proposals and 6 honourable mentions will be selected. Bee Breeders will award a total of 1,000 € in prize money to competition winners as follows:
1st Prize – 600 €
2nd Prize – 300 €
+ 6 honourable mentions
Selected authors and contributors
Authors of all winning submissions will be credited for their work. The publication will be featured on our partner websites and is intended to receive international exposure. Each selected author will receive a free copy of ARCHHIVE BOOKS “What is Sustainable Architecture?”.
Certificates
Bee Breeders will acknowledge the outstanding performance of all winners and honourable mentions with Certificates of Achievement.
