UXUS is looking for an architect/technical designer – retail to join its team in Amsterdam.

We work in a multi-national environment and our expertise includes retail design, restaurant design, hotel design, brand identity and communication, concept and brand development and architecture.
Job summary
The principle responsibility of this position is to work alongside the design team to design, detail and build various projects, exteriors and interiors. This includes working on various scale projects that use technical and construction detailing skills.
Depending on the project, the scope of work may range from initial concept to various phases including: schematic design, design development and construction documentation – sometimes including tendering and construction follow-up support to the project management team.
The candidate should have good design skills and understand construction principles, with a focus on interior detailing. Experience in the retail/restaurant/hospitality sector is required, including fixture design and prototyping as well as experience in designing floor plans, custom furniture, specifying FF&E, materials and specifications.
Required skills and aptitudes
General:
-professional degree in architecture or in any other associated field
-two-four years post graduate experience, in preparing retail/interior project drawings
-high technical skills with attention to construction detailing
-experience working on international projects
-experience working with a team of designers
-experience in retail/restaurant/hospitality sector
-enthusiastic and comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team environment
-ability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment is required
-articulate, self-motivated enthusiastic individual
-fluent in English, verbal and written and other languages a plus
-proven experienced and expertise in AutoCAD and Adobe software
-strong evidence in the CV and portfolio of detailing and product specification
-experience using both metric and imperial – US/UK measurements
