Karakusevic Carson Architects is looking for a BIM support candidate to join its London office.
Karakusevic Carson Architects is an award-winning and design focused Practice specialising in public sector work. Our projects are currently delivered through Revit and we are seeking someone with a passion for BIM with either technologist or architectural training to work closely with our BIM manager to help roll out our BIM strategy under their guidance.
The role involves helping the practice to get the maximum from both the software and wider BIM process, and identifying how to improve and streamline BIM delivery and maintain our reputation of developing designs and construction information through the creation of beautiful drawings and models.
You will be responsible for:
-creating and maintaining project-specific and office-wide content
-monitoring and streamlining models
-developing and implementing workflows within and beyond Revit
-actively engaging with design teams to troubleshoot and to ensure best practices are being followed
-educating staff in Revit and related architectural software
-assisting teams with 3D coordination, energy analysis, interoperability and other workflows
We seek a person who:
-has a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering or design
-has two years of professional work experience primarily utilising Revit
-has knowledge of architectural design and knows the basics of architectural drawing set production and 3D coordination
-is a heavy Revit user, with knowledge of the Family Editor
-has ideally some experience with one or more of the following: Dynamo, Revit API, python or other coding languages, adaptive components, Navisworks
-has a portfolio demonstrating work in Revit and Revit Family Editor
-has knowledge of rendering software — Lumion, Enscape,3d Studio, Maxwell, Blender and VRay will be very beneficial
-is organised, structured and detail-oriented
-excellent time management and organisational skills
-an excellent eye for detail
-ability to work under pressure and be flexible as part of many teams
-confident and able to work on own initiative and with limited supervision
