House in Herdade das Barrocas

The House in Herdade das Barrocas is a workers’ dwelling and supports the nearby facilities of an agro-industrial complex. It is set out of the production perimeter in order to guarantee a proper isolation and domestic comfort. The house is designed with two structural independent volumes connected just by one edge. This tectonic tension coincides with the entrances of the two apartments. These voids create a nice outside and protected common space, related directly with the landscape. These covered spaces work as a filter between the tough nature and the most intimate and domestic inside areas.
