Site Director – Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Project Oversight: Oversee the entire construction site and / or sites, ensuring all activities align with project plans, schedules, and RENEST’s objectives.
2. Team Leadership: Lead and manage the site management team, including Site Managers, Supervisors, sub-contractors and key personnel, fostering a productive and safe working environment.
3. Budget Management: Ensure projects stay within budget by monitoring expenses, approving costs, and optimizing resource allocation to meet financial targets.
4. Quality Control: Maintain high standards of quality control, ensuring all work adheres to required specifications, codes, and regulations.
5. Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns, providing updates, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
6. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project execution and adherence to timelines.
7. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all site activities comply with health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and promoting a culture of safety.
8. Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders on project progress, financial status, and any issues that arise.
9. Contract Management: Oversee contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring all terms are met and effectively managing any disputes.
10. Strategic Planning: Contribute to the strategic planning of the company’s operations, including future projects, resource management, and process improvements.

Qualifications:

•Extensive experience in construction management, with a proven track record of managing residential and commercial projects.
•Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
•In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
•Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in both Portuguese and English.
•Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
•Relevant degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
•Professional certifications in project management or construction management may be preferred.
