PANTEÃO
Naquela praça tudo acontece. Mercado, turistas, cor, luz, movimento. Aparentemente não existe ordem.
Uma grande sombra cobre toda a praça. No centro, um pequeno óculo dá uma razão para percorrer a estrutura. A força da grande peça apenas faz sentido pela beleza da sua excepção.
Propõe-se uma estrutura maciça em betão, que seja uma sombra sobre o mercado, uma tenda na praça, um panteão. É uma força que tenta impor uma ordem abstracta sobre o lugar.
Produto de uma geometria simples, é um quadrado de 100 metros de lado e orienta-se no sentido norte-sul. A laje monolítica apoia-se numa grelha regular de pilares de betão e no centro do quadrado existe o óculo, uma excepção, que dá razão de ser ao todo. Por muito grande e imponente que seja, é aquela luz que fica na memória.

Everything happens in that square. A market filled with tourists, color, light, movement. Apparently there is no order.
A large shadow would cover the entire square. In the center, a small opening would give a reason to go under the structure. The strength of the monolith only makes sense for the beauty of its exception.
We propose a massive concrete structure, which is a shadow on the market, a tent in the square, a pantheon. It is a force that tries to impose an abstract order on the site.
Product of a simple geometry, the square is 100 meters long and is oriented north-south. The monolithic slab is supported by a regular grid of concrete columns; in the center there is the light source, an exception that gives the whole a reason. Even if very large and imposing as it is, that light is what will be remembered.
